  6. This small text file will tell you how to totally bypass the copy protection
  7. scheme of "Wing Commanders" (WC.EXE), and/or "Secret Mission Disk II"
  8. (SM2.EXE).
  9.  
  10. It's a simple 1-byte alteration.  Carefully scan for the following hex bytes
  11. in either file (WC.EXE or SM2.EXE), using PCTOOLS or similar:

  13.   8B E5 5D CB 55 8B EC 83 EC 04 8D 46
  14.  
  15. And change the "55" to "CB".  That's it!!!  You needed to scan for all of
  16. those other bytes, due to repetition in the file.  But only one byte needs
  17. to be altered.  Have fun!
